Our congregation offers a variety of services and events. Anyone is welcome to attend, and membership to our congregation is not a requirement. Check the calendar below for specific dates, times, and topics for our events.

  • Services: Our services are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, and begin at 10:00 a.m. Services cover a wide variety of topics related to the values of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Childcare and religious education is always available for children and youth. Coffee hour follows each service, providing us with an opportunity for fellowship and socialization as we discuss the topic of the day, or other issues on members’ minds.  Summer services vary.  They are less formal, and include a social aspect, so be sure to check the calendar below for what is happening each week.
  • Book Discussions: These discussions usually take place September to May, focusing on a non-fiction book dealing with a contemporary social action topic such as climate change, racism, or economic inequities.

May 2024 Services and Events

* No Board Meeting in May *

May 5 – Annual Meeting, followed by a potluck meal

May 12 – Happy Mother’s Day! Service with Dennis Peters, “Tech Support and Chaplaincy: The Same Skillset!”

I’ve joked in recent years that my career change from IT to . . . whatever this is I’m doing now (lay ministry? pastoral care?) is a natural transition. And I usually get at least a chuckle.

But I recently had a “Eureka!” moment — it is a very similar set of skills involved. Really! This may be useful information for you, also. Let’s talk about it.

May 19 Traditional Flower Communion

Please bring a flower to place in a communal vase. It can be from your flowerbed or from a florist. We will honor the event in Unitarian history, and each person will go home with a different flower.

Also, Dr. Steven Nold, a UW-Stout professor of Biology, will speak to us regarding water quality issues and studies of our area’s bodies of water.

May 26 – Memorial Day Weekend

No Service

June 2 – Guided Imagery Workshop w/Sherry Hagen: Journey through Contemplation, Looking Out and Am I Ready?“We will be journeying through three paintings. After each journey we will have a silent meditation, when the brief meditation is over a tone will sound and you will have the opportunity to pause to color, draw and write whatever you experienced and share as you wish.” — Sherry Hagen
